Well I got an Apple Iphone cable, but not the one pictured or described. it seems to work, but this was not what I wanted. I got a very short(about 2 feet) "retractable" cable. Not a standard OEM style, and certainly not a "thicker more durable" cable as described by other reviewers.
This cable is a retractable ribbon style (3 wire) approximately 22-24 gauge. Very flexible, and high potential to kink and be worthless.
I do not recommend buying this. If I had not paid but $3.00 then I would certainly be calling the company to complain, it is simply not worth it for the price paid.
UPDATE: The retract mechanism has broken on the 3rd use. Junk. Don't buy this product!!!!

iPhone chargers about 75% of the time with this cable and will not sync consistently either. They are cheap, but there are similarly priced cable that work 100% of the time.
I bought 3 of these and gave them all away.

Very cheap material. Sometimes I had to giggle it a little bit for it to work with my iPhone. I ended up buying a higher qualitu cable, because it causes some issues while sync with my PC. I guess it would be fine just for charging your iPhone.

This cable is sturdier and much more durable than the cable that came with my iphone, which is frayed and looks like a fire hazard. The price is much better as well. The Eforcity cable fits very well into the phone's charging jack and snaps into place, unlike the cable that comes with the iphone, so it feels like it is very secure and it's a good length. Overall a great purchase. I'm glad I ordered two.
Update 8/3/10 - after several months of working very well, both Eforcity cables have stopped charging and are now good for synching only. If I try to use one to charge my iphone I get the "this device is not compatable" message. Sometimes I can override the message by disconnecting & reconnecting the cable, but I'm afraid that using the cable and/or constantly reconnecting may put my iphone at risk. It was great while it lasted.

This cable is worth the money. Extremely inexpensive, yet more durable than the OEM sync/charge cable. Approx 5' cord length, reinforced ends at usb plug and apple port plug. It's not 100% perfect (Mine had one of the metal retaining clips in the apple port connector stuck inside the housing) but it is 100% functional.
