Read description Carefully!! Apr 28, 2008
By JLRS If you are looking for a cable to go between your PC/laptop and your LCD TV...(VGA>Component)....****this is likely not the product for you****. That is what I was looking for...but I didn't read all the details. Most computers don't have the ability to output a component signal. Would not work with my PC (dell) and LCD TV (vizio).
If you're using this cable w/ a projector...it will apparently work. Cable construction appears to be very good.

Useful Cable - maybe an adapter - but NOT a CONVERTER! Oct 22, 2009
By Russ Condon

I purchased this VGA to RCA Component Cable M/M 12 ft because my Epson projector did not come with the 'Component Video Adapter'. I checked the Epson website and it said the 'adapter' would cost me $100.00!!
I decided to go with this cable instead because it was a small fraction of that cost. Since the projector automatically senses whether the signal coming into the VGA port is RGB or Component, this cable works FLAWLESSLY!
I get pretty much the exact same GREAT video quality that comes through the HDMI cable using this 'Component' adapter. For this purpose it is simply great!
If you need to CONVERT from Component to RGB or RGB to Component, this cable WILL NOT WORK! After all, it is simply a cable.
If you need an 'adapter' for a projector like my Epson EX70 (to connect a component source such as Blu-Ray or DVD player, etc.), or another similar application, this should work well.

Read & understand description! Jan 14, 2010
By John B. Swetland This cable works perfectly with my projector which has a Y,Yp,Yb (component) compatible VGA port. It will not work if your VGA port IS NOT (Y,Pr,Pb) compatible.
NOTE: Your display system must support component video (Y, Pr, Pb) signal output function in order for the image to display properly. Please consult with your VGA card's user manual for more information. NOTE: Specific TV-out feature on video card is required, please check with your video card output specification for compatibility

Nice cable Nov 06, 2007
By D. Peters This is a nicely crafted, hi-quality looking cable.
Make sure you read the description: make sure your video system can output the correct video signal. My ATI X1300 help guide tells me how to change the signal, but it cannot actually do it. so, unfortunately this cable does nothing for me yet. but I have not yet given up the fight. Perhaps I can find a 3rd party software gizmo to make this work.
I'll change my rating of the cable if I can actually find a way to make it work.

Great Cable Aug 30, 2010
By Calvin G. Wears I have used this cable to hook my DVD player, Roku player and Acer netbook up to my Viewsonic Projector and it has worked flawlessly. I dont need a converter or anything to do this.
