flexible monitor bracket Jan 13, 2010
By Frank Hughes I used this articulated bracket to mount a DELL monitor to a bookcase.
The bracket to monitor mount fit the DELL monitor perfectly, and the extra length
fasteners provided in the kit fit correctly.
The mount holds the monitor in position well after tightening the large knob
in the back.
I like it very much, frees up much needed desk space!

Excellent, low cost, good positioning Apr 30, 2010

This was a great deal on a wall mount compared to other units available. It secures solidly to the wall. The double articulated arm allows optimal positioning. The only gripe I had was with the screw knob that mounts the monitor bracket to the arm. I had a hard time tightening the knob for fear of stripping the threads. It took some trial and error to get the vertical tilt right.
This is holding a 22" widescreen monitor without any trouble.

not great for eye level Feb 14, 2011
By Rodney in Mississippi I was surprised about how sturdy the material is. It is very well built. I would easily recommend this to someone that wants to mount their monitor up above eye level. My intention was to mount at eye level and get the monitor base off of my desk and create more room. The problem is getting the screen not to "droop". If I had mounted the monitor 2 feet or higher above my eye level, it would have been a perfect product. You have to tighten the up/down movement with an allen wrench and also a knob. I can get it "ok" for a direct view, but when you swing it to the right, the monitor drops down on the right side, leaving an awkward angle. I really wanted to be able to "swing" over for a client to view reports, but that will be difficult. I hope this helps you in your purchase.

Great Value Feb 13, 2011

I have a 19" Monitor that had a base taking up all of my desk space. I needed a wall mount to eliminate the stand and this one did the job fine. The price for similar items at Best Buy etc were well over $100, some as much as $200 so this one at under $30 was a great deal. It took me a couple of installation attempts only because I failed to read the instructions and made some incorrect assumptions, the first being what direction it mounts. Once I got that right I realized after I had it mounted that it wouldn't clear the top shelf of my desk. Anyway, spend plenty of time on the front side making sure you are mounting it correctly and that once mounted it is going to have the mobility and be in the location where you want it. Also, if you can find studs to mount against this is ideal. Otherwise, definately use toggle bolts going into sheet rock. A lot of weight.
The only negative here, as described in other posts is that the mount has a hard time staying in place with the tilt and the weight. It seems like everytime you adjust the tilt it loosens the tighteining mechanism just enough where it won't hold. For me, I just determined what the tilt I wanted was going to be and found a little piece of plastic to put in the arm so it stayed in one place. I would not recommend this for a TV over 20", but for my purposes and the price, it was a great buy.

Monitor Wall Mount Oct 26, 2010
By M. Vetare Great value, great quality - I priced these brackets at Staples and they were over $100! As much as I love Staples, I couldn't see spending that much money when this item suits my needs perfectly. Was easy to install and affordable. My only complaint is that it does not move up and down, although it does tilt up and down and does move side to side and forward and back.
