Top of the line mount, terrible instructions... Aug 22, 2008

I was skeptical about ordering a articulating mount without seeing it in person to make sure it was a quality product that would support my new LCD TV. the price was almost to good to be true! when it arrived (under 5 days including the weekend) I was relieved. the mount is top of the line! very sturdy and heavy-duty metal. the directions on the other hand were pointless! it was 1 page of pictures that didn't have all the parts pictured. they obviously added a mounting bracket so you could mount it on a studded wall (which 90% of people will do) If you are good with putting things together and can understand what you should be trying to do you will be fine. if you need to follow step by step directions you might want to have someone who has mounted a flat screen TV before help you out. I would have no problem giving this a 5 star rating if the directions were better. otherwise this is an incredible unit for the price! this $80 mount is comparable to $400 mounts i've seen in stores and friends houses (suckers!)

By VirtualAlaskan The instructions aren't great, but there isn't that much to explain so you can easily figure out out. I don't know why anyone would pay $300 for the fancier TV supports. This holds up my 46" Sony Bravia wonderfully.
has a weak point! get the next size up for larger tv's Jan 20, 2009
By Porcelain Monkey my 70 lbs TV bent the two metal tabs that attach the arm to the TV support bracket. Granted, this is the end of the arm, they are just two flat metal pieces, but I bought this so I could move and redirect my viewing unit occasionally, as soon as it was mounted and I tried to extend it, these tabs bent. I don't think it will break but with all the holes in my wall and all the effort putting up.... it says it is rated for 100 lbs, perhaps when it is folded up against the wall. we also used bigger wall mounting bolts than those provided, did not want to bet the new big TV they would hold.
Affordable pricing and good quality Mar 07, 2008
By S. Khaja This is a really good mount. I have mounted my 42" Toshiba REGZA 1080p LCD HDTV and it worked like a charm. The only reason that I am not giving this 5 stars instead of 4 is because when I pull the screen out all the way and pull it the left the TV tilts a bit. When it is in the center the TV is perfectly level but there seems to be a little bit of play in one of the hinges. Seems to me like a design issue than a manufacturing defect.
A great thing about this mount is that you can disconnect the arm and also mount the plate on the wall (just like all the other wall mounts).
The constructin is very sturdy with no squeaks. A must buy for this price.
