Features:
  • Compatible with LightScribe enabled DVD-R Hardware

  • BURN music, digital photo albums, presentations and home movies directly on your DVD or CD

  • Media version 1.2 reduces label etching time up to 30% compared to initial version (MV 1.1)

  • Professional-quality labels: laser precision and detail means no more marker scrawl or adhesive labels to center, only to have them peel off the disc

  • Creativity: freedom to combine text and graphics in simple or complex labels that reflect one?s personality and attitude

5The Best LightScribe DVDs  Sep 16, 2008
By A. Dobrynin
I have a Lite-On LightScribe DVD burner, and have tried various brands of LightScribe blanks, and have found Verbatim LightScribe discs to be the very best - perfect everytime - no faulty discs in the entire bunch. However, I can not say that about any other LightScribe disc manufacturers; Philips discs being the worst of all - most of the Philips discs failing to operate properly in the DVD burner.

5Excellent disks, never fail  Mar 01, 2007
By Bartly Betts
I read a bunch of reviews before buying my first LightScribe DVDs and Verbatim seemed to get the best rating. After using a number of non-LightScribe and having varied success with burns, I can say that the Verbatim have been the best DVDs that I've used, maybe 1 failure out of 100 and I'm not sure that was because of the disk but rather a bad original that I was copying from. They have been excellent for me. I did have to wipe off the title side of one disk before it would print. It seemed to have a white powder on it.

I haven't used any other LightScribe brands to compare with, so I don't know if there others as good.

What's strange to me is how hard it is to find Verbatim Lightscribe DVD-R disks when -R players are the most popular. I guess it's not such a big deal now that most players handle both -R and +R, but I still prefer to use the -R having started out that way. You can find Loads of DVD+R disks but I really had to dig to find -R disks the first time.

4Fairly good...  Jun 22, 2008

Good value for the money, no problem in burning the designs on the label side. I only wish the black effects were more vivid. Some wave-like effects were produced which is not part of the design itself.

4Great little DVDs  May 13, 2008
By J. Hopwood
I like these LightScribe discs and the colored ones are even better. They add a bit o' variety (the spice of life) to that pile of burned discs you have on your shelf. Seriously though, these work just as advertised although I wish black would show up a little blacker.

1Discs are unusable  May 30, 2008
By M. Rietveld
I have burned 6 DVDs from this batch and *all* of them have a significant amount of errors (even with different speeds). None of the burned DVDs can be played in a regular DVD player without errors, hickups etc.

Earlier I used verbatim DVDs with the same burner and with those other batches I never had errors.

I use KProbe to check the quality of the burn and with this batch it's always awful. PI is consistently over 277 (which makes the disc useless).

UPDATE 3/17/2009: I forgot to mention that quickly after the sale I notified the seller and asked them how to return the disks. They responded quickly but I was too busy to actually send the disks back. They refunded my money nevertheless. Excellent service!
