Most Compatible DVD+/-R... Period. Jan 15, 2009
By elgreco If you burn movies to watch on a regular DVD player, then these are the disks for you. Anyone who burns a lot of movies knows the heartbreak when you arrive at your destination, pop the DVD in, and get the dreaded "error" message. Those days are over.
I promise you that with these disks you will have no more "error" messages, skipping movies, or irate friends calling you saying "Your movie didn't work!!!" These are the *MOST COMPATIBLE* DVD's I have found for stand-alone players.
Personally, I find them a tad expensive and slow for use as data disks. If you are looking to use them as data storage media, you are better off with the cheaper and faster(16x) types out there since compatibility isn't a problem.
But if you are looking for DVD's that are most compatible with any regular DVD player, these are it.

excellent product - stylish, too Mar 06, 2007
By Irish Ike These DVD's are the best I've ever used. They just don't feel cheap; they're not heavy, obviously, but they aren't light, either. They feel substantial, if that makes sense to you. They aren't as thin as some I've seen, and won't bend easily. They won't wilt when they get warm from the DVD drive. And the movie reel design is just cool...

Work fine for me. Feb 23, 2006
By Debra Dailey I like these dvd's. I've been using them and they work fine for me. i did have one that i made a copy of some home movies for family and they said the sound was low. It played fine in my players. So far so good for me.

Best QUALITY there is ...period ! May 24, 2007

I have used all types, brands, speeds of DVD media through the years..since 2002 and got the very first DVD recorder and owned a few since...These are By far the very best in Quality and metal azo dyes.
Superb ! The only thing tricky is the X 4 and X 8 that are with the same product code with many companies who sell these. Be careful if you
are ordering X8 and somehow you get X4 ...but regardless..they are excellent. Good price too. A great investment for archiving films.

Verbatim let me down Jun 30, 2010
By J. Ryder
"Easy Ryder"
I've been using Verbatim dvd's for years. Out of a few hundred burned DVD's I don't think I totaled more than 3 or 4 that failed. That being said, this is the first time I've tried the digital movie spindle, and I have had 4 failures out of ten tries so far. I could get a 100 dvd spindle of a knock off brand at a discount wholesale store for that kind of success rate. I'm really surprised that this dvd is failing so often with my less than a year old asus dvd burner in my desktop and my laptop that I got for school last year.
