Does...Not...Work Dec 11, 2010

"TR + TO = TD"
I ordered this device and it failed right out of the box. I noticed that the light was still coming out of the cable after going through the switch, but it was quite a bit dimmer than it was going in. I tried multiple cables and multiple devices, all with the same failed result. I returned the switch (thinking MAYBE it was a defective device) and received a replacement a week later. That device had the same result with all devices. Again, I tried many cables and many optical out AND in devices, and both devices failed in every scenario.

A Great Value For Sure Jul 01, 2010
By SCon I bought this from the seller cables4you and the cost ended up being just over 17 dollars. The four cables included appear to be high quality with good insulation and high quality tips. The switcher, while simple is completely functional and my receiver picks up the digital signal immediately. I now hook up my PS3, Xbox 360, and PS2 to my receiver no problem.
Well worth the price Feb 01, 2012

Bought this from another site for less money even though I generally use Amazon and Prime but it was less money and had cables with it also like this one, yes it took three days longer to get but I was in no hurry. Switch is well built considering what it is and switches between inputs by pushing a button on the top so it can't slip to another input by accident, like little hands playing with it, cables I got were also of good value but am sure the cables from Amazon will also be. Works well with no bleed through if you have another device on as a splitter may do. All in al I would recommend this to a friend or anyone that need an optical switch.
Works....Sort of Dec 14, 2011
By Jeffrey Antal It is very cheap. Mine did not work out of the box. The sound cut in and out on all the inputs. In order to get the device to work at all you have to jiggle the chords around until you hit the sweet spot. I have never had the device work like it was suppose to, I have had to unplug chords and switch their inputs to get sound out of some of my devices. I am going to buy a different splitter because I'm tired of dealing with this one. I would not recommend this product, go buy something else
Not bad, not great. Sep 24, 2011
By J. Hill You will see 3 inputs in the "top" of the device, and one input at the "bottom." The bottom one does not hold an optical cable. I have to find a weird sweet spot where it is pushing off the wall so that it applies kind of a 45 degree pressure on the bottom input. This is very annoying, and it can result in audio drops. However, it does work.
I can't remember if I bought it from Amazon or not, but I remember getting it for like $8. I see that it's around $20 now, and it is not worth that price. Do not pay $20 for this. Try one of the other brands. If you can get this one cheap, it's worth a cheap price.
