Nice TDK Blu Ray Jan 12, 2009
By j-rob-82 So far I have not had a problem with any TDK blu ray discs. This is my permanent disc after I try it on a rewritable disc first which is what I recommend for blu ray burning. The price of TDK discs are actually pretty good compared to others and the quality is very nice. So far no problems with TDK so I think I will stick with this brand for awhile. Overall fantastic price point and value for what you can put on it.

TDK BD-R 25 GB Blu-Ray blanks -> they work! Apr 14, 2008
By Brian Wilson I just bought an external USB 2.0 Lacie Blu-Ray burner, and just burned my very first 25 GB data disk -> on a TDK BD-R 25 GB Blu-Ray blank. It seems to work! I used Roxio Create 8.2 XE (came with the Lacie Blu-Ray burner). Everything went very smoothly, but it did take A VERY VERY LONG TIME (as in several hours to burn 23 GB of data).
I am not interested in ever burning a movie, so I did not test that. I'm interested in permanent write-once backups of large amounts of data (like my iTunes MP3 collection).
I also burned a DVD-R (the blank happened to be a Verbatim DVD-R) on the same Lacie burner, just to test that I didn't need to keep my old DVD burner around. Also works great. This was tested more thoroughly -> I put the burned DVD into another computer and it read perfectly.

This used to be my favorite BD-R media Mar 15, 2010

this TDK Blu-ray BD-R used to be my favorite but they have proven to be very costly when I need to create more than 1 disc for my wedding video clients. My new Blu-ray BD-R media of choice is branded DIGISTOR, available here on Amazon and costs around $1.95/disc on the 25-pack spindle. 4x recording speed is perfect for my 10 minute Blu-ray videos via Adobe Encore CS4.
