UNNECESSARY COST!!! Read on for CHEAP alternatives! Jul 19, 2011

Alright first off this cable is highly unnecessary and if you purchase this solely for charging your PS3 controller then you are overpaying.

If you want a cheap alternative then you should just get this: Cables To Go 27005 USB 2.0 A to Mini-B Cable, Black (2 Meter/6.56 Feet) It is 1/2 the cost and does the same exact thing! If you need something even longer go with RiteAV - USB 2.0 A to Mini-B 5-pin Cable 15 ft.

Don't overpay for something you don't have to! This is nothing more than a USB 2.0 A to Mini B cable!

For some reason Sony chose not to include one of these with the purchase of a new controller. Nor was I able to find an official Sony version of this cable being sold. In other words, Sony is content to let you live with the one that comes with your system. Well, if like me you believe that one isn't enough for your multiple controllers, consider your dilemma solved.

Purchased this item assuming it would look like the picture but then later had to return it because it didn't look like the picture. The item I recieved was just a generic USB charge cable. I am just accustomed to the one that has the inteference magnet on the end. Great item if you're looking for a replacement or back up. If you're looking for an actual OEM Sony PS3 charge cable look elsewhere.

Nice to have a longer charge cable for the controllers. This thing feels well made. Solid construction and seems durable enough. Charges just as quickly as you would expect it to with no issues. As always, Amazon got it to my front door in a hurry with no issues, thank you Prime.
