Great product!! Oct 14, 2008
By Ignacio Ortigosa Muñoz First, for the first review, its convenient read the specs of the product first, obviusly doesn read blu ray, it doesnt say it. Well, the product is great, first the design is stilysh and elegant, it doesnt have buttons only touch the icon, great sound, awesome bass, the 5.1 dts sound great and the pictures looks pretty good. The bluetooth connection its very useful without loss sound quality. Excellent product, i recomend it.

Great Looks,Great Price,Great Sound!! Feb 04, 2009

If you have a Touch of Class Samsung TV, This is a no-brainer: you have to own one of these. It matches perfect and the Anynet HDMI works good. The receiver is really cool and has "touch" buttons and is wall mountable; the speakers look really modern - the sound is actually better than my Bose Lifestyle, and is really easy to hook up. The DVD player is pretty basic, but use your PS3 blu ray or better yet- use a ROKU box! To sum it up-if you have the Samsung TOC TV, Buy this NOW! If you don't have the TV, and looking for an elegant surround system, this is your best bet.

GREAT 5.1 HOME THEATER SYSTEM! Jan 30, 2009
By McBraden This system looks very nice and the sound is fantastic! I have it hooked up in my 2-bedroom apartment. I can blow my walls out if I pleased. My living room is rather small but this system isn't too much for it. I would love to get it into a larger room and crank it.
It took me a while to get everything set up correctly. I have a Samsung LN-T4061F LCD TV, a PS3 and a Cable DVR box hooked up to it. I hated the wires running to the rear speakers so I picked up a Samsung Wireless Transceiver (SWA-4000). The two make sweet wireless love together.
The one thing I don't like is the iPod playback options. There isn't a shuffle option and the menu is basic and boring with limited options. To get around this I create several playlists on my iPod touch and use those. Not a big deal but something Samsung should look into improving.
The upscaler DVD player does a great job. I prefer my PS3's Blu-Ray for my HD temple. But the upscaler DVD player looks fantastic as well. I have yet to use the Bluetooth features.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced 5.1 Surround-Sound Home Theater System you should really consider this one! I can finally drown out my Karaoke loving neighbor downstairs. Everything I use with it sounds perfect to my non-audiophile ears.
(To the poster who thought this system was Blu-Ray equipped: You rated this system 1 star because you failed to do any research or even read the flippin box? I give you 5 stars for your ignorance)

Great for gaming Apr 04, 2009
By Omar Nazif I have my Xbox 360 hooked up to my tv via HDMI. My tv outputs via optical to the Samsung. This saves me the cost of an additional expensive xbox cable. I have this in a small 10 x 10 room. The sound rocks and is great for surround-sound games. Perfect amount of power, would be disturbing the neighbors if I wanted more.
Looks very sleek and sexy, a real treat for fans of modern black furnishings.
DVD interface looks pixellated and clunky, but it works.
Rear speaker transmitter should be standard and is definitely a shortcoming.
Bluetooth capability hasn't been tried out yet, but is a welcome addition.
USB port is great, I've tested it out with DIVX/XVID files and playback is smooth.
Subwoofer would benefit from an adjustment knob on the actual sub, instead of having to change the boost power in the settings menu.
Not sure if it has one, but it would be great to have an auto shutoff feature to conserve energy and product life.
