Poor Quality Control? Mar 28, 2008
By MFA I've been using the Ridata brand of mini-DVD in my camcorder for nearly 3 years now, usually buying them 10 at a time. This time I bought the 50-pack since I've never had a problem with them. The first ones I've tried out of these appear to be unbalanced or out-of-round, though. My camcorder definitely vibrates more when the disks are up-to-speed. I have finished recording on one of them and it appeared to finalize okay. I'm just disappointed with Ritek's quality control system that would let these get out the door.

Excellent Quality Jan 19, 2008

There is nothing really bad to say about a case of dvds. The quality is good it actually does up to 35mins of recording on my camcorder and not 30mins which i guess is a plus. Does not get scratches easily, well if you handle it properly. My movies are in a high quality when i play them back. The spindle in properly packaged.

Good mini DVD Apr 06, 2008
By A. Le This is my second spindle batch. Had only one issue with one DVD. I was recording my daughter birthday. But when I went to play it, it said bad data. I don't know if it was the Hitachi DVD camcorder or the DVD itself. I bought a Sony DVD camcorder and so far no issues. I will keep you posted if any other issues arises. One thing for sure is that you can't beat the price of these mini DVDs. Excellent price.

Nice little storage units.... May 04, 2007

I use these mostly for audio books,(they'll store 10 hours of spoken audio thus making them great for long books), music and short video letters. I have never had a problem of any kind with these. They play perfectly not only on my computer but on my home and car DVD players (both of which are rated for -R and +R media). I'll continue to use these great little units!

Sony handicam user Apr 28, 2008
By P. Grimm Just bought a 50 pack of the Ridata mini dvd-r 4x, for my Sony Handicam. Very noticeable vibration with these disks, compared to a sony or fuji disk. I wonder if the disk is thinner or isn't as rigid as the other ones. Possibly out of round, but vusually can't tell. I tested one and it recorded fine and playback was normal on the computer, but for some reason a 2 minute video clip took 8 minutes to finalize, 2-3 times longer than other full 4x disks I've used. Vibration can't be good for the camcorder so I'm worried.
