A Good Combo Pack, But... Jan 29, 2011
By C. Owen
"Contrary Insight"
This set's a pretty good deal for anyone looking for a gun shell for their Move motion controller. It includes a perfectly good pistol shell whose trigger doesn't have too much or too little pull, and it's comfortable enough. Not much to say about it.
The shotgun shell is sweet, too, but the select and start buttons for mine seem to have trouble popping back out after being pressed. And there's another problem with this shell, but strangely enough it has nothing to do with Dreamgear's design, per se. You see, on the shotgun, the trigger is supposed to be handled by the Navigation Controller, not the Move Controller. Unfortunately, however, not a single Move rail shooter that I've played thus far has had the sense to allow the player to reassign the trigger to the Navigation Controller. So, on that account, the shotgun is not useful for playing the current crop of rail shooters. The blame for that lies with lazy game designers, but the end result is the same.
So, yeah, it's a fine combo pack, but don't get your hopes up about the shotgun because attachments like that aren't properly supported yet.

not well thought out Apr 07, 2011

"end of it all"
Handgun was fine but the shotgun was not designed to be functional I guess. Most games don't allow you to use the trigger on the navigation controller but that is the trigger that lines up with your trigger finger. So you have to goofily use your forward hand on the under barrel to use the motion controller trigger. Whoever designed this either didn't test this with any real games or didn't care.

A Decent Product Jan 12, 2011
By Big T I've used the pistol with Time Crisis: Razing Storm and it works fine. You just have to hold it like an uzi because you need access to the top button (to use the shield and cover). It's steady, and works as well as can be expected so far. It's not quite as sturdy as the Precision Shot MOVE.
It does have sights, which is good.
The shotgun would be used for games with the navigation controller. I used it a bit in MAG and the Time Crisis multiplayer mode. It's awkward at first but it's kind of cool I guess. It would be perfect if a game let you map the controller buttons a bit better, but that is certainly not the product's fault.
PROS: Works as advertised, nothing more nothing less. Two "guns" for the price of one. Sights. CONS: They look kind of silly, not as sturdy as some other peripherals in the same realm.

PS3 Move Combo Pack Jan 21, 2011

I like it!
Both the shotgun and pistol are put together well, and make for pretty good looking controller accessories.
The shotgun is well made and is easy to install the controllers into. It also feels good in the hand/s and is very easy and comfortable to use. This controller has an advantage over pistol controllers in that you normally use both hands with a long gun already. The main complaint most people have with guns on say Time Crisis, is that you have to use the move button with your other hand to duck behind cover. This ruins most pistols for game use since it kills the one hand aim. The gun also is able to be disassembled by sliding a tab back and rotating the body which reduces the gun down to two short pieces.
The pistol is also easy to insert the controller into and comfortable to use. When completely assembled it's not too heavy and feel nice in the hand. This is almost worth the $ for the shotgun alone, and the pistol just sweetens the deal.
I have an issue with anyone who gives this set a one star rating because of issues with a piece of software. This is not the fault of the accessory and shouldn't be used to judge it.
The 'shotgun' controller mount is not useful. Oct 18, 2011
By squarefighter The pistol controller mount works fine. It's cheap, doesn't really feel like a gun at all and the trigger is a bit stiff, but it works. The 'shotgun' controller, however is not useful for any games that I know of. The navigational controller is held in the back, where your trigger finger goes, and the move controller is held in the front. This would be a good configuration, if any of the shooting games available for the playstation move allowed you to remap the trigger to the navigational controller. This is not an option for Killzone 3 or Time Crisis Razing Storm. You have to reach up to the trigger on the move controller, which makes the whole thing pointless.
Unless there are newer games that allow you to remap the trigger button down to the navigational controller, don't waste your money on this combo. There are other cheap pistols, and you'll need something like the $30 sharp shooter to get a natural feeling two-handed gun. The sharp shooter actually connects the trigger and a couple other buttons from the move controller down to the gun trigger on the handle.
