Works with some effort Jan 17, 2011
By E. Soderstrom

It can be difficult to get the remotes seated in the charge station but it isn't as difficult as some might say. I have two daughters, six and nine, and it only took them a couple of tries before they learned how to get the remotes seated correctly. The light on the charger just below the remote provides instant feedback as to whether or not the remote is correctly seated and charging. Just wiggle the remote until it lights up.
This is not a "platinum" piece of hardware but it works just fine. I have friends who have bought other chargers, including the charge pad, and I found those to be more problematic.
I've had my current charge station for almost one year and am preparing to buy a second one to charge my other two remotes. The first charge station still works just fine.

Save the batteries, save the wallet Jul 05, 2011
By Gabe in Nash For any Wii gamers out there, a charging station is a necessity since lets face it, AAs become expensive after a while. While this charger is fast, the power cells aren't as long lasting as the manual claims. However, it is still a life saver for Wii gamers and a good addition to the set up.

Charger Jan 11, 2011
By ab74102 This charger seems to work well, you just have to remove the remote jackets in order for the wiimotes to fit into the charge station. The lights on the front of the charger indicate when they are charging and change color when the batteries are fully charged. This product is a nice addition to my black Wii and Wii Remote Plus controllers.

NYKO Wii Black Charge Station Jul 11, 2011
By Darkfur The NYKO Black Charge Station for the Nintendo Wii was a no brainer purchase for me since buying batteries just isn't worth it. The unit holds & charges two Wii Controllers without the rubber sleeves. In the package beside the charge station you'll receive two uncharged battery packs & battery covers designed to charge your controllers in 2 to 4 hours depending if one or both controllers are charging. A blue light will glow when charging and it changes to green when done. The system does need a direct AC outlet to run but the base isn't any larger than it needs to be. So far I'm happy with this device & hopefully it will last as long as the Wii itself.

Good Value for the Price Jan 03, 2012
By J. Cook We purchased a new Wii for Christmas, and I began to imagine the horrors of battery replacement for the Wii Controllers-potentially purchasing Duracell stocks came to mind.
The controllers do not come with rechargeable batteries (strange in this day and age) and do require (2) AA batteries each. (you do get the 1st set of generic batteries with each controller).
The product does work as advertised and comes with the charging base, (2) rechargeable batteries and (2) battery covers.
As previous reviewers stated, getting the controllers to sit just right in the base can be challenging and does require you to remove the rubber skin around the controllers. This is not the easiest thing to do, since the 'strap' goes through the skin. You can usually just peel it about half-way off before putting the controller in the base.
This is not something that my 9 year old son can manage, so I have to remember to put both controllers in the base every other day or so to make sure there are no breakdowns when the controllers are dead.
With all this being said, for the price and the fact that you receive both rechargeable batteries, this is a really great buy and the pros definitely outweight the cons. Just be prepared to have a little more 'grown-up' involvement for the charging process.
