Doesn't Work May 29, 2010
By J. Lundeen

Buyer beware.
I wanted a spare USB cord for my Motorola Droid so I could sync it and charge it no matter where I was. After browsing through several cheap, Chinese-made pieces of junk, and even ordering a couple, I found this one. It had all positive reviews so I figured it must at least work, right?
Wrong.
I ordered two since they were under a buck and when they arrived I immediately hooked my phone up to one. My computer made the "connected" sound and then immediately disconnected again. Nothing. The battery wasn't even charging. After I unplugged and plugged it back in several times with similar results I finally concluded that the cable must be a dud. It happens. So I tried the second one and... Nothing. The exact same result.
I don't know what these cables were made for, but it certainly WASN'T the Motorola Droid.
Spend the extra money and get a decent cable. In this case you get what you pay for.

Worthless Jun 15, 2010

Ordered three after reading reviews. The batch I got will not sync or charge my Motorola Droid. When plugged into my laptop, the notification bar flickers on and off continuously. Waist of money.

Reboots DROID Jun 04, 2010
By Matt Saw good reviews and thought I'd give this a try, not worth it.
Upon first connecting the cable to my motorola DROID the phone rebooted within 30 seconds. Weird, it never reboots like that. Unplugged the cable, let it boot up, once it was back on I plugged it in again, it was going from a connected/not connected, charging/not charging state over and over. Unplugged it again and tried once more, it stayed connected and charged the phone fine.
Thinking it was maybe a fluke I tried the cable again today, again, phone reboots out of nowhere.
I am afraid that there will be electrical damage to my phone if I continue to use this. A coworker had a cheapo usb cable which fried/killed his bluetooth headset, so seeing as how this does not work properly and I don't want to damage my phone I have requested a refund.

get what you pay for Jul 15, 2011
By P-Dizzle Got a D2 from a friend and needed a USB cable so I could actually transfer files from my mac to my phone. well, it worked great! for about a month... These things have to be ultra fragile, because I treated it well, aside from occasionally tossing it on my hard wood floors. Well, that did it in.. it won't sync, or charge in my computer OR my USB wall outlet converter anymore.. After looking for any damages (the cable to my eris started to fray yet never quit working, I assumed that's where my problem was) and couldn't find any suspicious wounds.. Upon closer inspection, the big usb end (that plugs into your computer - sorry I don't have more specific terminology to go with) has an itty bitty piece of plastic broken in it. Reading from other people's single star reviews, I ain't the only one who got a bad one. I will say this - they're incredibly priced, but my $3 disposable razor has given me more lifetime use. Great buy if you want a disposable cable.
Buyer-be-ware is a colosal understatement. Now I have to buy ANOTHER USB cable. Le sigh, there's a reason "you get what you pay for" has become a cliche.

Can't Believe this is from Motorola... Apr 22, 2011
By S. Shields Disappointing.
This fits well and makes the connection, but it simply doesn't carry the current to do the job. Both of our Droid 2 phones get and lose connection (you hear windows making the ding-dong sound randomly) on both of our computers.
In contrast, when I use a Logitech cable from my Logitech remote, it works great, never losing connection.
Pass on this cable.
