Easiest way to use microUSB Dec 27, 2007
By tz The only slight problem I have is the cable is short and stiff, it would be easier if it could twist a bit more.
But this is a fully functional cable including host ID if you have a USB "on the go" product, for geeks, it has all 5 wires, not just 4, and they are fairly large gauge wire for USB, and well shielded. Top quality and an excellent price.
Note: it won't accept USB OTG "A" (host) connectors, it only will pass through the extra pin (4).
I have a new Nokia n810 and one of these makes everything easy - and I've altered mine so it will select "host mode" so I can attach many USB devices like flash drives, cameras, and keyboards.

Eventually, You're Gonna Need It Apr 18, 2008
By Jerry Jim If you currently are involved in the Motorola family, you might as well get a couple of these adapters (one for your home charger, one or more for the car/cars) because all phones and accessories will hopefully be using these USB (EMU) ports. That is, if all the various manufactures have basic "Sandbox Skills". We'll see. These adapters kept me from having to buy a new car charging cable as it let me use my old "mini USB" that I use to charge my SLVR, RAZR, and KRAZR to charge my new Motorola H710 headset which uses the new micro USB. Very reasonably priced although as usual, you get a "groin kick" with the shipping. I have not been able to find these in local stores. Buy it.

Useful Cable Dec 26, 2007
By Davide The micro USB is actually a newer standard, but a cable with a micro end is hard to find. This short cable lets you convert from the hard to find micro connector to the common mini connector.
So, you can buy this and use a mini-USB cable you already have. If you don't already have a mini-USB cable, then you may as well buy the micro-USB cable instead of the addaptor cable.

Great gadget Sep 24, 2009
By S. Butler I was really happy to find this adaptor. I recently purchase a Blackberry Tour and the charging port is a micro USB port and all my chargers were mini USB. Therefore, this little inexpensive adaptor saved me from having to purchase a new car charger and quite a bit of money. It works great! I would recommend this product to anyone making a conversion from mini USB port to micro USB ports.

Does what you need it to do Feb 13, 2008
By C. Panno Perfect for charging phone from various USB sources. Note: For Vista machine, I had to download and install drivers from Motorola site first to get charging to work. No instructions for this. Just had to try it, & it worked.
