WOW! It rocks!!!! Jul 11, 2008

I do lots of reseach before I buy any eloctronic items. I generally read reviews of the items of interest before I buy them. I tried to find review of this item but could not find one!!
Anyway, I was in brandsmart to shop for an vaccuam cleaner and accidentally I saw this item on the shelf. When I was checking the sound, I just said..WOW!!!! The item was not playing on high volume and an FM channel was playing, but I was still able to hear the distinct notes crisp and clear and buss was sounding so soothing to my ear. It was compact and mixing with the music so evenly. That moment I decided to bought it and bring it to my home.
It took only 15 minutes to install it for me. All the wires are color coded and very easy to install. I did not even need to read to manuals that comes with it. Although I reccomend it to read before you start installing.
After installing I played my old MP3s and after listening to the sound, I just again said WOW!!! Trust me, the sound was so good, i could say that I am listening to a very expensive music system. Each notes are crystal clear and bass is comapct. Then I tested it with a DVD. I posses an 32'' Samsung and picture was crystal clear. The sound was thumping and you feel like you are watching a movie in theater. I am very pleased with my purchase and would never regret it.
If you dont want to rock your neighbour and dont want to spend extra bucks, then this system is for you. Thanks JVC!

Great bang for the buck Mar 07, 2009
By S. Livit I purchased this sound system for my 16 year old for his birthday. I wanted a system that wouldn't break the bank, had a recognizable manufacturer's name (who also had a reputation), and would satisfy what he imagined a surround system would be (or do). The system looks great; the sound quality is impressive and most importantly he loves it. The system has added tremendously to his gaming, television and movie viewing, and music listening experience. I recommend this system to anyone who wants the benefits of a good system without having to spend a ton of money.

great value Nov 22, 2008
By Michael Weber i just got this unit on 11/21/08, and i have to say it sounds really good. what surprises me is no bass and treble control, but the vocals are clear, the highs are good and the bass to me is improved from last years model with a bigger driver. if your leary about other reviews you read about lack of bass, trust me when i say it has very good bass, its well suited for medium rooms, but if you have a very large room, your bass could be weaker than in a medium room. it has a hdmi output for 1080p display, an input in the back, one optical in the back, and a front mp3 input. it has progressive scan output also. the speakers are wall mountable. it sounds very dynamic, i thought a couple times the surround speakers were on and they were not. the tuner is good and the remote is easy to operate. i'm not saying this is the best surround system, but for the money, it is a very good value and i recommend this unit to anyone.

Sometimes You Get What You Pay For Oct 16, 2008
By L. Payne Tested this out at a customer's house. I work at a retail store, and did a delivery today, installing this in someone's home. After doing professional installation, we tried out a movie and music.
For the movie, we chose "The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift". The opening scene is a car race. I remember seeing this in theaters. Two American muscle cars - one new, one a classic - face off against each other. There was the loud engine roars, cylinders pumping and the noise sounding like a lion was roaring beside me.
That was in theaters. In this home, it didn't roar. It purred. The bass was similar to the bass on the "Under $100" Durabrand HTB I bought from Wal-Mart. This system sounded only slightly better. In electronics - especially with audio - you get what you pay for... most of the time. In this case, a sub-par price yields sub-par sounds.
For better bang for your buck, I recommend the LG LHT854 - Home theater system - 5.1 channel - glossy black instead.
