Solid equipment for a good price Oct 28, 2009

I was worried at first when the cable I spent a rediculously low price for didnt arrive on time, however, it was a postal error, and was delivered to my neighbors house.
The Cable works great, my computer is now connected to a 50" sony Flatscreen, and my games and movies have never looked so good. Thanks Abacus, I recommend this for anyone that doesnt wanna spend 60+ dollars on a BS namebrand at Bestbuy.

Great video, no audio. Jul 06, 2011

I bought this cable so I can experience playing my Xbox 360 on my ViewSonic 19" monitor. The picture was crystal clear (once I adjusted the resolution to my monitors maximum resolution), but what I didn't expect that the cable only gave me the picture, not the sound. I expected this cable to give both the audio and video, but apparently, the audio can be received by a separate RCA Audio cable adapter, and connect it to an RCA audio converter cable. That said, I had to buy another cable that can receive audio, and another cable to convert it into a 3.5mm input so I can connect it to my PC's speakers, which thankfully isn't expensive... But back to the pros of this, the fact is that it does work, but only for video. The only cons to this is that you have to use a different cable for audio. Be aware that if you want the sound, you will have to buy another cable that will receive the audio from your console, device, or anything that is an HDMI source.

I needed to hook up my new PS3 to a 1st gen HD 1080i ready Sony big screen. At first I used the Sony RGB component cables. I picture was near perfect on the 65 inch screen with those cables. However, if you really looked at it closely - it was just a tiny bit grainy. Nothing that was worth buying a pricey cable over - then I saw this one for a next to nothing price. So what the heck, I bought it and it gives a 1080i HD picture (video only) to the big screen and now the picture is flawless. I had heard DVI won't carry audio of coarse HDMI will and that this was the only real difference beside the plug design. So the need to still deal with the audio was expected and there are no RCA type audio jacks on the new PS3. Luckily, there is a fiber optic out and luckily my Stereo isn't as old as my TV. So I used a fiber optic cable to get the audio to the Stereo. Now I just have to turn the Stereo on also to play games or watch movies - which is not a big deal. The sound is much better out of the stereo anyway.
Great build quality on this cable. One of the best I've seen. If you have HDMI out going to a DVI in - you will be very happy with this cable.

I recently purchased this cable to hook up my PS3 to my acer x203h. This HDMI to DVI cable is absolutely perfect and looks amazing on my monitor. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to connect their ps3 to a dvi input. For the price plus amazon prime shipping it is a steal!

Major problem, the dvi jack is too big and cant fit on my pc screen. Didn't know I needed a female size, any chance of returning for a refund would cost me shipping from Trinidad :'( I may have to buy a new 'correct' cable this time :/
