Can't beat it for quality at this price point! Dec 30, 2011
By Kim Are you kidding me? Forget about the frustration of trying to find an affordable adapter at your local computer or big-box electronics store; this beats anything you will find locally. The computer store wanted $19 for a different brand and the big-box retailer down the street wanted an amazing $35!
The quality of this item is excellent and the DVI end fits perfectly with no slop and the HDMI end accepted my cable perfectly, also with no slop.
Don't even think about wasting your money. Have a little patience, order this part and know that you kept a lot of money from leaving your wallet.

Serves its purpose Jun 04, 2011
By Igor Grinshpan I bought this adapter to connect my media center PC to my big screen TV, and it did its job. I have had no problems with it at all.

Doesn't work with my stuff Feb 06, 2012
By TerryP Doesn't work with my stuff. ASUS Transformer TF101-B1 with AmazonBasics HDMI to Mini-HDMI cable, and ASUS Transformer Prime TF201-B1-GR with a Mediabridge HDMI cable + a cheap Cmple - HDMI to Micro HDMI adapter. Both configurations don't work when hooked up to either the 22" LG monitor in my apartment or the old 20" Dell in my office.
I'm 90% sure it's the adapter so I just went out to Microcenter and bought a different one for $10.
Rated this one 2 stars because it's cheap and it seems to work for some people, but not me.

Not for me Jan 02, 2012
By Pleased Customer This product seems like a great build but it doesn't work for me and I think it may be because of my computer monitor or this is just the wrong adapter for me. I got this hoping that I would be able to connect my Thinkpad Tablet to my computer monitor which only had VGA/DVI input. I had also bought a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable for my tablet to connect at least to my TV, it works great there, but when I add this adapter to hook into my monitor, all it does is flicker for a split second and then return to standby. I read around online now and it may be because my monitor isn't HDCP or something compliant. Well it was cheap and I could probably find some other use for it so I won't be returning it.
If you are in the same situation as me then be aware that this may not work connecting a tablet that has a mini-HDMI output to a computer monitor.
