Gets the Job Done May 04, 2010
By Christian Nunez
"Baylor Bear 17"
I have a macbook pro with a DVI out. I thought it would be great to set up the macbook with my HDTV. I already had an extra HDMI, so buying this piece to hook it up cost a painless few bucks. I have my speakers plugged into the laptop, so with a wireless mouse and keyboard, this turned out fantastic. The picture quality is a lot better than I expected, and with this plugged in, I can have my laptop lid closed and comfortably browse the web or watch videos without a problem.

Great adapter Apr 27, 2010
By Jeff This adapter does a great job of converting hdmi to dvi. It is backwards compatible, but it is important to know that it doesn't carry sound. You can easily work around this though, because pretty much all Hdmi devices have anoter form of audio output. GREAT ITEM!

Not the right conector in picture. Mar 29, 2010
By Tax_guy It shows in the pictures a DVI 24+1 DVI-D and they send you a 18+1 DVI-S. A little misleading in my opinion.

Warning, wrong description!! Dec 29, 2010
By ramiro The description says DVI-D Male to HDMI, but it was not a DVI-D dual connection, it was a DVI-I dual link connection. DVI-D has four less pins and DVI-I has all pins. So as a result from this, the pins wont let the DVI-I fit in to my DVI-D connection. The product is not as described, and just useless.

DVI-I, not DVI-D Oct 26, 2011
By bcollins As stated in other reviews, this adapter is not actually a DVI-D like it says in the description. It is actually a DVI-I connector. Look it up on wikipedia, you can see the difference. So it doesn't fit in my monitor, which really is upsetting. I also bought this not realizing that it was being shipped direct from Hong Kong. It did take it a week or two to get here, which is better than the advertised 3-5 weeks, but that's the only pro about buying this adapter.
If you were looking for a DVI-I connector and accidentally bought this, then you're in luck.
