Data ONLY! Not a replacement for an Apple cable. Jun 21, 2010

This cable cannot replace the original Apple cable as it will not reliably charge your phone/ipod. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. The cable is much thinner than the Apple one and must use insufficient wiring.
It works fine for syncing, but it will only sometimes work to charge (and it will never charge a completely drained iphone battery -- even leaving it plugged in overnight). I wouldn't have purchased if I had known. Seller offered to refund, but the shipping was more than the cable so that would have been a waste.
