Gets the job done. Jan 05, 2012
By Joughnut21 Bought for my Canon MP500 and works just as it should. My only concern is that the cover, over the hole from which the ink is extracted, was an adhesive backed, plastic strip, rather than the twist cap that comes on the genuine item as well as every other generic canon ink I've purchased in the past.
Hope you like ink on your fingers Mar 13, 2012

Someone in my office ordered these compares to try to save money.
Most of the cartridges did not work or leaked ink that does not wash off easy from your hands.
I spend two days trying to get my MP530 to work properly again.
Great for the price. Jan 09, 2011
By G. Rivero Considering the Brand Name is so expensive this is much more reasonable for Ink. I got this not only for the price but because it's a 3 pack. So, even if it was a lesser grade of ink or didn't last as long as the regular ink at least I have 2 more replacements incase of emergencies. I only used 1 cartridge so far and it's just fine. No smudges, running and it's still printing fine and dark. So this is definitely a good buy for the price and I'll recommend it as a great alternative. Also, if you have a Canon MX700 the black is different from the color cartridges. You need this PGI-5BK not the one numbered 8 for the color cartridges. So if you need both don't buy the set with the black & color together because they have the wrong black black in the set.

I happened upon this ink cartridge for my Canon Pixma Printer. It works perfectly in my printer and I received 3 cartridges for less than half the cost of one with the Canon name. I will definitely be ordering more and I recommend that you try this.

Don't use non-Canon ink Feb 27, 2012
By Terrill L. Wade I just paid $144 to replace the printer head on my Canon Pixma MP950 printer. The repair store said some ink products have acids in them that ruin the printer heads. Beware.
