Solution for those with printers that don't recognize cartridges Dec 06, 2009
By A. Bhagwat As other reviewers have already covered how this ink is cheap and works, I won't go over that. I specifically want to point out a solution to the problem faced by a few when the printer does not recognize that the cartridge has been installed.
The same thing happened to me - I installed the Magenta and the Yellow inks in my Brother MFC-3360 all0in-one printer/fax/scanner device. The magenta ink was recognized instantly, but the printer kept thinking that there was no yellow ink cartridge installed. After multiple reboots of the printer and computer could not resolve the issue, I took out the cartridge and examined it closely.
There is a small plastic cover on the lower end of the cartridge with a ink nozzle behind it. This is different from the tab you have to remove before installing the cartridge. The printer makes a small perforation in the ink nozzle plastic cover, that allows it to withdraw ink from the cartridge. I noticed that the perforation was not made very well when I inserted the cartridge in the printer in the first go-around, and the plastic cover was obstructing the ink flow. I used a pair of scissors to make a clear hole and re-installed, and now the printer is able to recognize the cartridge.
This might work for people who've had problems getting their printers to recognize new cartridges.

Brother ink catridges May 29, 2010
By Narasimha R. Tadepalli Initially I ordered these cartridges by looking at their dead cheap prices. Once order has been confirmed then I thought of looking at reviews. Shockingly couple of guys made wrong reviews about quality of the ink and other stuff. I panicked and try to cancel my order by contacting the seller. After one day seller replied saying that he already shipped the ordered items and requested me to return the package once received to claim the refund.
I received the package with in no time and I thought of returning it initially. But my wife said, any way the price what I have paid is really low why don't you try to see how it works. Then I inserted one set of this brother ink cartridges in my printer and took test print. Test print came out any problem. Then I thought of testing printing the good quality pic of my kid. I tried printing on brother photo paper, wow the quality is real damn good than my original prints which took from near by walgreens photo. So later onwards I happily took bunch of pics and now I am running on my second set of ink cartridges with out having any problem.

Cheap China cartridges ruined my printer Sep 05, 2009
By Sumus Delta

I bought these for my 1 year old Brother MFC240C printer and what a mistake. I had usually refilled my cartridges on all my other printers but never on a Brother printer. I decided on these because of the price and to save the hassle of refilling them myself. On Brother All in One machines there is a little circuit board that the cartridge rests against. There is no room for error in this setup and if any ink leaks out at all, even a couple drops , it will short out this circuit board. This is a terrible design by Brother but you must live with it if you own one. As soon as this happens it will never detect the cartridge that leaked again, and when any one of the 4 is not detected the printer will not print no matter what. I found this out with my very first set of these cheap cartridges. I really wanted to save some money as printer cartridges are a complete ripoff at the OEM level. They ruined a very good machine and I had to by a new printer. Also because of this I will never by a Brother printer again either. I am not one to write reviews but thought I would maybe save someone else from this nightmare.
